Engineered Stone Countertops and Their Excellence

Engineered stone can enhance your bathroom tremendously

Ah, the excellence of engineered stone countertops. Last week we discussed the benefits of natural stone. Now, we’d like to highlight what’s excellent about engineered stone countertops. It wouldn’t be in true Rock Tops fashion if we didn’t enlighten you about all of the options that you have. Countertop installation is a homeowner’s favorite because of custom fabrication. No homeowner is alike, nor do their countertops have to be. Read on to learn about engineered stone countertops.

Engineered Stone Countertops are Appealing

A popular material for engineered stone countertops is quartz. We can compress quartz into slabs that replicate the color of natural stone. The difference is that the coloring is more uniform. Natural stone has variations in its hues, unlike engineered stones. If you want an option that will match your kitchen or bathroom perfectly, then this is an ideal choice. From various earth tones to rose-colored options, gorgeous grays, and more, quartz has many desirable options.

Engineered Stone is Efficient in Regards to Durability

Because the finished material is very hard, it’s comparable to granite. Although not wholly indestructible, the engineered stone doesn’t crack with ease. Engineered stone surfaces are resistant to cuts and scratches, but we still highly recommend that you use cutting boards on these surfaces. You should also refrain from leaving hot pots and pans on them.

Cleaning is Low-Maintenance

Quartz countertops don’t absorb liquids because they aren’t porous. Stains don’t stand a chance. This factor makes the cleanup process a breeze and quite efficient.

Your Options are Plentiful

Some natural stone countertop options are granite, marble, quartize, and onyx. Then, add on the fact that you can choose different finishes and edge treatments. With this in mind, you may think that you have limited options when you select engineered stone. However, there is Silestone, Corian Quartz, Caeserstone, Viatera, and much more!
