A Guide on Custom Stone Fabrication

Custom stone fabrication gives you a unique look that you want

Custom stone fabrication gives you a unique look that you want. We use the latest digital templating and tools so that your countertop or custom surface stands out from the rest. We bring the visions of both home and business owners to life. The benefits behind countertops and natural stone are common knowledge, but do you know how custom stone fabrication works? If not, then keep reading! We’re going to supply you with a guide on how custom stone fabrication works.

What is Custom Stone Fabrication?

Custom stone fabrication refers to the process of customizing natural stone to create countertops that fit a customer’s specific needs or specifications. Here at Rock Tops Fabrication, we will work with you to ensure you that the natural stone complements the other materials in your kitchen or bathroom. You can evaluate a digital template of the natural stone so that you know it will seamlessly blend into your home’s architecture. Our Slabsmith digital software brings the coloring and dimensions of natural stone to life.

How Does the Fabrication Process Begin?

After we have all of the correct measurements and specifications and an approved template, our fabrication team then starts working on the project. The team then uses state of the art edge machinery to cut, hone, polish, and prepare the stone how the client prefers. Our expert technicians can handle any job, whether it’s simple or complex.

How Exactly are the Slabs Cut?

We use a laser-guided, water-cooled bit diamond bit saw that follows the digital template. The saw head is fully programmable, rotates 360 degrees, and can cut a straight line in any direction. Once our technicians cut the countertop, the edges are then profiled and polished by our craftsman. After this process, our fabricator goes in to make sure that there are no damages or imperfections. They check for chips and sharp edges and do additional polishing and fixing chips in the edge’s profile if need be.

Why is Custom Stone Fabrication So Beneficial?

If you allow us to execute this process, then your kitchen or bathroom countertop won’t look like anyone else’s. Also, because natural stones can be costly (in the case of marble), precision is necessary. We have the tools to perform the cutting and edging process masterfully. You’ll never have to feel limited. You can go online and become inspired, and we’ll be able to fulfill your exact vision!
